I went away for the weekend to a place with no TV and no newspaper. Imagine my surprise whan I came back to find the disaster in Iraq was even worse than usual. How many more young Americans will lose their lives so that bushmonkey can keep his ego in tact?
Why can't we stop repeating the pattern of starting or getting involved in wars we can't win and staying and staying and staying because it is so very difficult to admit one's made a mistake. Butch is clearly incapable of admiting any mistake much less a big one. The insurgents or whoever they are are getting better and better at fighting us. We're getting more and more feeble and bloated.
The "surge" is working if more Americans dying is the goal. If there's some other goal then I'm not so sure how it's doing. Everyone is saying that September is the time to measure our success in Iraq. How many times have we heard the mantra "six more months" from this pathetic, fucked up administration? Patreus may be the equivalent of Marlon Brando in the commander department, but even Brando couldn't have made Police Academy 3 a good film. It's over. I urge all active duty service people not to heed the call up. Don't go back for your second, or third, or forth tour of duty. Tell them you're done crusing around waiting to be shot at or blown up.
You're not dying for your country. You're dying for 28% of your country who are making money off the war or are too stupid to realize what's happening.
